Dedicated device for detecting steel wire cord defects in the tire manufacturing process.
The SIS XP, developed by the German company Roland, is a dedicated device for detecting defects in tire steel wire cord materials. This device uses magnetic detection principles to continuously inspect the condition of abnormal areas and splice sections of the steel wire cord material during the tire manufacturing process, and outputs that information. It employs up to 16 sensors and can detect issues such as wire pull-out, overlapping, and irregularities with a maximum inspection effective width of 1120mm, as well as determine and output the status of normal and abnormal splice sections based on pre-input data.
